About the Role

An industry-leading consultancy firm is seeking a number of highly motivated hires for their Socio-Economic team. This team focuses on the socio-economic impacts of development, with a reputation for detailed, strategic advice and innovative thinking.

 

You will be working alongside multidisciplinary colleagues, including planners and development surveyors, across a variety of sectors, including: residential, regeneration and infrastructure. As you progress you will be taking on a leading role, and if being hired at Associate/Associate Director, your role will increasingly involve business development.

 

The role includes tasks such as:

  • Conducting research, coordinating projects and working alongside planning and economic development colleagues.
  • Providing strategic economic and social infrastructure advice.
  • Preparing evidence to support development cases.
  • Managing projects, finances, and deliverables as you progress,
  • Mentoring junior team members, if being hired at more senior levels.
  • Collaborating with clients and professionals to assess development impacts.

 

Key requirements:

  • Strong passion and understanding of how development impacts society and the economy.
  • Strategic thinking and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills.
  • Experience in bid preparation and management for more senior candidates, or business development capability.
