About the Role
Cobalt have been instructed by a reputable and established property consultancy, specialists in the professional surveying and advisory sector across London and the South East, to secure the appointment of a qualified valuation professional. Our client is willing to consider the seniority of Surveyor up to Senior Surveyor, with the role reporting directly into the Head of Valuation.
Comprising a mixture of valuation mandates for secured lending across a range of commercial properties, whilst appraising land and existing residential assets for development purposes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing the market value of commercial properties.
- Working autonomously to prepare Red Book valuation reports and assist with peer reviews.
- Actively supporting inbound valuation instructions whilst identifying new business opportunities pertaining to higher-margin, larger-ticket instructions.
- Managing relationships with lenders, and communicating closely with principal stakeholders, including with third party consultants.
- Contributing to the individual and team fee earning target.
What is required of you?
- MRICS and RICS Registered Valuer
- Proven experience undertaking loan security valuations for commercial assets. Candidates with a residential background will be considered but must ideally have exposure to commercial valuation.
- Strong understanding of the London and South-East property landscape.
- Proficiency in Argus Developer/KEL software is preferable.
