About the Role
Cobalt is working with a market-leading property consultancy into their well established development and valuations team based in Oxford. The team service clients nationally, with some of their projects being on behalf of major PLC and blue-chip clients, and others with JVs and public sector organisations - the wider development team includes general development consultancy advice, affordable housing and viability advice, feasibility studies, analysis and development agency. With an ever-increasing pipeline of work, plans for future succession, and a desire to bring in experienced Valuers on board who have an interest in business development including seeking new opportunities, managing existing established client relationships, growing the business and building a professional network.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Working on development valuations across the public and private sectors (residential/commercial/mixed-use)
· Undertaking development appraisals in valuation and development consultancy capacities
· Preparing and providing detailed reports
· Preparing business cases and a sustainable pipeline of work/income stream
· Liaising with the wider development team and others in business as needed
Ideally you will:
· Be MRICS and RICS Registered Valuer (or equivalent) as well as 3 years post-qualification experience
· Have experience within a consultancy environment, and a development and/or valuations team, although local authority and client side will be considered
· Be adept at using Argus and Excel
· Strong property understanding across the wider sector including planning
· Be an excellent communicator with good technical and writing skills
· Proven track record of winning business, in particular lenders/developers
· Ability to seek out new business, train or cross-sell opportunities
