Development Surveyor / Land Agent

Our client, a leading property consultancy, is looking to recruit into their Residential Development team in Kent as their workload continues to grow. You will be working directly under the Director, whilst taking a proactive approach in sourcing and acquiring new sites for their pipeline for their clients. They mostly operate in an agency capacity, but some consultancy work is also required. Currently, they have a lot of clients including PLCs as well as SMEs so this would be a great opportunity for someone who wants to get their foot in the door in the industry or take on their first role.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting a mix of strategic and immediate land agency
• Undertaking business development with clients
• Working heavily on development consultancy and valuations across the private sector
• Undertaking development appraisals and land stacks
• Assisting with transactions and agency work
• Liaising with clients and other consultants, such as planners and architects
• Completing land searches using software and Google
• Reaching out to landowners, sending letters and chasing up leads.

Ideally you will:

• Be keen to become RICS qualified (depending on level!)
• Have a rural or land background, or a Property degree
• Strong property understanding across the wider sector including planning
• Be an excellent communicator with good writing skills
