About the Role
Assistant Finance Manager
£60,000 - 65,000 plus bonus & benefits
Hybrid, Central London
We are partnered exclusively with a real estate investment trust looking to expand their finance team in London with a recently qualified financial accountant. The successful candidate will lead financial system optimisation, ensure smooth integration with existing processes, and provide accurate financial management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the implementation Yardi and the optimisation of systems to streamline financial and property management operations liaising with internal and external teams
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement
- Ensure strict adherence to IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards
- Assist in the creation of monthly and quarterly budgets and forecasts.
- Build and maintain financial models to aid strategic planning and decision-making
- Work closely with auditors to ensure accurate and timely statutory account reporting
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and legal financial requirements
- Provide financial oversight for property development and repositioning projects, with a focus on PBSAs and BTRs
- Support financial planning and analysis for new construction and redevelopment initiatives
- Collaborate with development teams to assess financial feasibility and profitability
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in financial operations
- Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders
Key Requirements:
- Chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Degree in Accounting/ Finance, or a related field
- Relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting from practice or industry
- Knowledge of Real estate development and construction, particularly in PBSAs and BTRs
- ERP system implementation is a big plus
- Experience in property repositioning strategies and financial analysis of development projects
- Experience in financial modelling and data analytics is highly desirable
