M&A Associate Director

OVERVIEW

A leading PE backed accounting and corporate services firm are going through a strong period of growth and are looking for an Associate Director to help expand their Corporate Services team.

Aiding on deal sizes ranging from £10m - £15m, across a range of industries, this role offers the opportunity to join at the team at the early stages of growth, therefore offering strong long term career prospects.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

The main roles of the AD will be to:

  • Lead the execution of M&A transactions, including both buy-side and sell-side transactions

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor

  • Oversee and conduct financial analysis and due diligence for potential transactions

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop business strategies and identify new opportunities

  • Mentor and manage junior team members

  • Implement processes and procedures to enable transaction to succeed smoothly and efficiently

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards

EXPERIENCE & CHARACTERISTICS

  • Qualified accountant from a top 40 firm (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CFA)

  • Business-related degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics Maths)

  • Additional industry specific qualifications are advantageous

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience leading M&A teams within corporate finance

  • Proven track record leading and closing M&A transactions

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Extensive excel and modelling experience

  • Strong leadership and team management experience
