Role: Land Manager

Location: Glasgow/Edinburgh

Salary: £50k - £60k based on experience with flexible working

Comanos, part of the Cobalt Group, is working with a well-established renewable energy developer who provides power gen and storage solutions at scale. This prestigious and progressive client is looking for a Land Manager who will be responsible for assisting the wider development team with the delivery of large-scale solar PV, energy storage and wind projects.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Lead land acquisition programs growing a portfolio of large-scale solar, BESS and wind projects.
  • Identifying, negotiating and securing land rights for solar, BESS and wind projects.
  • Collaboration and daily communication with site acquisition/planning team, development team, grid project management, commercial and legal teams.
  • Responsible for managing project teams and multiple projects, budgets, contract preparation and negotiating with tender processes.
  • Conduct site visits (and update site reports) and meetings with landowners and development consultants.
  • Working closely with the development team ensuring land strategy aligns and managing legal support in preparation for and to establish land agreements.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • RICS/MRICS qualified
  • Prior experience working on ground mount solar PV and BESS projects, other renewable energy projects a plus.
  • An understanding of planning and consenting processes.
  • Experience in Land Surveying/Management and a proven track record in executing successful land campaigns in different markets with different types of landowners.
  • Proven network of clients and projects previously worked on.
  • Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information System) or any other spatial environmental and planning software systems
