Are you a Senior residential property professional with a notable understanding of leasehold focused Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Compliance?
Cobalt have been contracted to help a leading property investment firm recruit for a Fire Safety Advisor to join their compliance team.
The role will be to help lead the charge in ensuring all buildings within their portfolio are compliant, with health & safety and fire regulations up-to-date.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Compliance in managing Fire, Building, and Health & Safety compliance across company properties, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
- Conduct 1:1 technical training for Property Managers and Surveyors on Fire Alarms, Fire Doors, and Smoke Control Systems.
- Monitor and assess current and upcoming Fire, Building, and Health & Safety regulations, advising stakeholders on compliance needs and updates.
- Continuously review and refine compliance systems and procedures with the Head of Compliance to maintain legal adherence.
- Collaborate with Facilities Management, Building Services, and Regional Executives on maintenance and major works, ensuring risk controls and regulatory standards are upheld.
- Lead safety management for high-rise and high-risk buildings, ensuring compliance and prompt issue resolution.
- Oversee corrective actions from Fire Risk Assessments and audits, supporting timely and accurate completion to mitigate risks.
- Assist in developing and delivering Health & Safety training and provide updates on Fire Standards for the Group.
- Coordinate with external bodies, such as consultants, local authorities, and the Fire Brigade, to enforce fire safety regulations across the portfolio.
Requirements:
- Recognised qualification in Fire Safety Management or Fire Engineering
- Understanding of the Building Safety Act
- Strong knowledge of general property compliance
- Membership of either IFSM or IFE ideally
