Job Title - Assistant Project Planner

The Role / Client
Cobalt is currently working with a tier-one contractor looking to bring an assistant planner into their successful planning department based in Manchester. The right candidate could be a site manager or project manager looking to move into the Project Planning world. This role will see you working alongside one of London's top senior planners and working on a one-on-one basis.

Main principles and tasks
To assist the Construction Planners and site teams with the preparation and alteration of programmes
To assist the Construction Planners and site teams with the preparation and alteration of logistics plans
To record, prepare and distribute the site water and electrical consumption figures required to obtain code for sustainable homes points.
To assist in the preparation of reports and submission documents.
To maintain the programme issue records and ensure that all relevant people have a copy of the most up to date programme.
To carry out site Progress audits and ensure reporting in accurate.
To help prepare the and monitor the site production schedules.
To visit site and obtain feedback from site so as to improve programme accuracy going forward.
To assist in preparing progress and unit delivery forecast reports.
To aid in the preparation of progress reports for divisional board meetings and visit site as necessary to compile the required progress information.
Key skill sets required
Experience in either Asta power projects or Primavera P6
Good communication skills
Good organisational skills
Self motivated and able to work unsupervised
Willing to learn and take guidance
Some site experience
