About Me
How it started...
I worked in various office support-based roles before joining Cobalt, for a property company, as an archaeologist consultant, and then in the charity sector. I then started at Cobalt in 2016 on a temporary two-week cover. Two years later I was still here and was promoted to UK Operations Manager! Four years after that, I’ve now taken on Cobalt’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusionwork as Head of Inclusion.
...how it's going
In my role as Head of Inclusion, I have been reviewing and reflecting on every part of Cobalt under an ED&I lens. It’s so important we take the time to understand and respect everyone we interact with so that everyone can bring the best version of themselves to work every day – whether that’s our candidates, clients, or my colleagues at Cobalt.
As Operations Manager, I keep a lot of our non-human elements running! From the coffee machine to the communications platforms. It also means I get to be involved in the fun parts of Cobalt, driving our Cobalt Cares initiatives, planning parties and events, and making our work as fun as it is successful.
Life at Cobalt
Cobalt really is supportive of people finding their niche, and I’ve always been able to take part in projects that speak to me. I have also been lucky enough to get to work with a lot of amazing colleagues all around the world from our other offices.
All things food & pottery
I love food - so all things cooking and dining out is up my street. I’m also a very amateur-level ceramicist, having started lessons at my local pottery studio in 2020. Making wonky plates and ugly delicious food seems a logical combo!
If ED&I is also a priority for you and your recruitment journey, then I would love to speak to you. Please get in touch!
