About the Role
Business Development Manager (North of England)
Cobalt is excited to partner with a great client who are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to engage with existing and potential clients across the North of England. This role is ideal for someone with a background in the construction industry and experience in selling services rather than products.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding the organisations specialist testing, engineering, and consultancy services within the construction sector. The organisations clients include major contractors, structural engineering consultancies, and product manufacturers.
You will be responsible for:
- Strengthening relationships with existing clients and forging new partnerships.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Managing and developing a pipeline of profitable work.
- Promoting our specialist services, including on-site and laboratory testing, facade testing, non-destructive testing (NDT), and specialist surveying.
Our client has a well-established presence in the region, and there is significant potential for growth. Full training will be provided.
Who We're Looking For
We want to hear from candidates who:
- Have experience in business development, particularly within construction or engineering services.
- Can demonstrate a strong track record of winning and managing profitable work.
- Are confident communicators, skilled at building and maintaining client relationships.
- Are proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
