Associate to Associate Director

An established and respected planning consultancy, known for its expertise and high-quality service, is currently seeking a skilled Associate or Associate Director to join them due to growth and an upward trajectory within the team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-profile projects across the commercial sector, with a strong focus on masterplanning and strategic land development.

About the Role:

In this position, the successful candidate will be integral to delivering strategic planning advice and managing complex commercial projects. Working closely with a range of stakeholders, the role will involve shaping development strategies, advising on Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs), and overseeing major masterplanning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a variety of commercial planning projects, particularly in the masterplanning and large-scale development sectors.
• Develop and implement effective planning strategies to meet client needs and objectives.
• Provide expert advice on planning, including CPO and strategic land assessments.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes.
• Contribute to business development efforts and strengthen client relationships.
• Mentor junior staff members and assist in the ongoing development of the team.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong experience in planning strategy and CPO, particularly within the commercial and masterplanning fields.
• Proven track record in managing complex, high-value projects.
• In-depth knowledge of UK planning law, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and lead teams.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
