Cobalt are thrilled to be partnered with a well-established promoter and developer, hiring a Senior Strategic Land & Planning Manager team member in London. Your role will be to identify sites with the potential for promotion within current and emerging Local Plans across the UK as well as working through their landbank, to promote these sites. Whether this identification is through agents or off-market, you will need to have experience in negotiating these deals, being adept at leading on conversations with landowners and other stakeholders.
The established and successful team are lean, yet experienced in both the identification, promotion and obtaining of full planning permission of residential-led sites throughout the region. Others in the team will focus on the promotion of these sites, while your focus will be primarily on the land deals and signing up these sites through unconditional and subject-to planning agreements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Searching for viable sites through contacts and software, such as LandTech.
Managing a land bank and numerous ongoing and future deals and promotions
Negotiating land deals and drafting Heads of Terms with lawyers, if you choose to be more land focussed.
Promoting sites through the Local Plan, and working on outline, hybrid and detailed applications.
Keeping up-to-date on changes in planning policy and updates on Local Plans.
You will ideally:
Be experienced in promoting sites through Local Plans
Be adept at negotiating and a track record in securing sites.
Be a team player and a confident communicator.
