Senior Project Manager - Client Side
A family owned private property investment and development company based in South West London is seeking a Senior Project Manager to take responsibility of their project portfolio within their project team.
As a business they invest, develop and regenerate property and have a strong focus on the commercial, retail and hotel real estate market. Their property portfolio spreads across Central London and is valued at £600 million and consists of 1,000,000 sqft of commercial office, retail and hotel assets.
They focus on long-term hold and seek to recycle over their development and lettings cycles within a fast-paced environment. They are offering a fantastic position within their team where you will progress quickly and gain great value add experience to develop your career.
Reporting directly into the Construction Director of the business you will be responsible for:
Project Management of multiple commercial building refurbishments ranging from circa £10K up to £5M from cradle to grave as well as the oversight of major developments valued up to £50million.
Working with the asset management team to establish the refurbishment requirements
Compiling pre-construction information such as building and MEP surveys
Working with internal and external designers to create a design concept for internal sign off,
Working with the Quantity Surveyor to build an initial cost plan for internal sign off
Developing and managing the design through to RIBA Stage 6 whilst staying within the agreed budget
Procuring the relevant trades and negotiating the Trade Contracts with our legal team
Managing the Trade Contracts throughout the construction stage both on and off-site
Skills & Experience
Related Construction Qualification preferably to degree level
Ideally someone who has on-site site management experience and is looking to transition into a Project Management role
This person will be spending approx. 50% + time in our buildings and the rest in the office
Commercial refurbishment experience essential.
Wide range across sectors preferable (housing / retail / hotel / student accom…)
Main Contractor experience preferable
Experience of working in live buildings and dealing with tenants preferable
Organisation is a key attribute as this person will be managing multiple concurrent projects
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate progress to the wider team on a regular basis
