Job Title - Senior Planner - Residential Fit-Out, Commissioning & Handover

Fixed Term Contract - Competitive Salary and Bonus and Package

The Role / Client

Cobalt is currently working with a well known developer that have an opportunity for Senior Planner to join to make an impact in their residential fit-out and commissioning projects. Our client is seeking a Senior Planner to join their dynamic team, offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to lead on high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Planner, you will:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Project Master Programme, covering all project phases.

  • Regularly update the programme from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals.

  • Analyze and address schedule impacts caused by trade performance, client changes, design proposals, or logistics challenges.

  • Conduct schedule studies and provide expert support to the Senior Project Manager and Planning Director.

  • Define project manpower requirements and monitor interface coordination across trade packages.

  • Provide critical planning input for monthly reports, internal/external updates, and the CWCL Knowledge Database.

  • Adhere to CWCL planning procedures, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all deliverables.

  • Uphold health and safety responsibilities as outlined in the Canary Wharf Group Health and Safety plans.

  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Collaborative Relationships

Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager and Planning Director, you'll play a pivotal role in the project team. This includes:

  • Ensuring programmes incorporate all team requirements for seamless project management.

  • Clearly communicating time and performance commitments to team members.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A technical qualification in architecture, engineering, or construction, plus a relevant professional accreditation.

  • Extensive planning experience in fast-track, multi-phase construction projects.

  • Proficient in modern planning techniques and software, particularly Elecosoft Powerproject.

  • Deep understanding of construction management philosophy and procurement processes.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven expertise in residential fit-out and commissioning.

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

  • Analytical thinking and self-management with a focus on meeting deadlines.

  • Advanced IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with document management systems (desirable).

  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence decisions and foster collaboration.
