Project Accountant

Job Title: Project Accountant

Location: Essex

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus

My client a well established property developer is looking for a Project Accountant who is looking to join a vibrant team and comes across very personable and with a desire to be hands on with new projects coming on-board. This role would be perfect for someone who ideally has worked within a property developer industry and is seeking an opportunity to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Raising invoices for construction projects based on surveyor valuations and project management fees, along with maintaining supporting information
• Calculating and requesting funds from joint venture partners in line with agreements/Calculating and disbursing profits to Joint Venture Partners on project completions
• Ensuring accurate and consistent journals are prepared and posted.
• Creating accurate monthly management accounts for various projects, including financial insights
• Maintaining cash flow on all projects, monitoring budgets versus actuals, and reporting anomalies to the investment team

Key Skills:

• Ability to think informatively, provide solutions to improve processes, and confidently liaise with external entities
• Knowledge of construction finance or joint venture reporting is desirable, it is not essential
• Good system and excel knowledge
