Lettings Accounts Assistant

Our client is looking to expand their accounts team with an experienced Lettings Client Accountant/Assistant who wants to grow with an exceptional and innovative company.
The successful candidate will enjoy a fast paced environment where they interact with numerous people daily and strive to problem solve in a quick and friendly manner.

Main Duties
Overseeing a portfolio of properties across all lettings requirements, dealing directly with tenants and landlords across queries and demands via phone, letter and email
Processing payments of deposit returns to outgoing tenants, as well as ensuring all accounts are accurate for new tenants on the system
Processing card payments ensuring a clear line of communication is maintained with the tenant and that the accounts are balanced
Ensuring suppliers invoices are processed and approved
Maintaining accounts and ensuring recoverable charges are handled in a timely manner
Chasing outstanding rent and setting up payment plans as required
That all rent receipts are posted on daily basis and allocated to correct tenants accordingly or if there are discrepancies.
That sufficient retention is kept on the client accounts for properties where rent collection is on six monthly or to chase the clients for payment of property expenses.
Negotiators are to be informed daily of any expected funds have been received e.g. holding deposits, moving in monies.
That client and tenant fee invoices are raised on the system as per agreed pattern and percentages with client.
That annual auditor queries are dealt with promptly and accurately by ensuring that suggestions of the good practice are adjusted on the system.
Personal requirements
A deadline oriented individual, with the ability to multitask and prioritise well
Great communication skills, both written and verbal
A working understanding of the property sector and lettings accounts
Ability to work independently and be self motivated
