Finance Assistant

Hybrid, Central London

£40,000 - £45,000 plus study support

Our client is a global highly regarded real estate investment firm seeking to hire a Part Qualified Accountant for their London-based team.

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual looking to gain well-rounded experience in a role that expands from financial reporting and accounting to budgeting & forecasting and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders in finance functions to ensure prompt delivery of financial accounts
  • Review monthly local reporting packages, including supporting schedules, bank reconciliations, and statutory financial statements
  • Support the Finance Manager in preparing year-end audit schedules and the year-end reporting package
  • Prepare management fees and charges between the management company and PropCos
  • Provide support for ongoing procurements and payments
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and interbank fund transfers for review
  • Assist the Finance Manager with financial forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Support the Finance Manager during year-end statutory audits and internal audit processes
  • Help prepare, review, and submit regulatory filings, including statutory accounts, VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, and CIS
  • Help with improving accounting, reporting, and forecasting systems
  • Manage bank mandates and online banking access controls
  • Upload and review payments/invoices on banking platforms or accounting systems

Key Requirements:

  • Part Qualified or studying towards qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Prior relevant experience in an accounting role in the industry or accountancy practice
  • Experience in real estate is essential
  • Knowledge of property accounting software is advantageous
