We are proud to be working closely with one of the UK's busiest mixed-use and master developers, who are expanding their team in the Bucks/Beds/Herts region, to accommodate a growing pipeline of work. With experts internally within the residential-led space, they are keen to bring in someone who has expertise in the commercial and industrial space, to lead on, as part of these mixed-use developments.
Whether you are currently leading solely these schemes from a planning and development perspective, or a holistic cradle-to-grave exposure, your role will encompass it all. From looking at prospective new sites and asset mixes on potential sites to being the go-to lead internally at the early stages, to dealing with disposals, leases, and partnership deals - no two days will be the same.
You will be involved in (among other responsibilities):
Appraising potential development sites alongside land-buying colleagues for viability and potential asset values.
Managing pre-apps and planning applications through the development process, supported by external planning consultants.
Undertaking due diligence, valuations, and development appraisals.
Liaising with colleagues internally as well as managing a major external partner, who is currently advising on this piece.
Being responsible for disposals, legals, leases, and liaising with potential occupier or operator partners as the scheme's progress.
You will ideally:
Have experience in a similar role - with a strong development background and knowledge of the commercial and industrial space.
Excellent communication, written, and numerate skills.
Be dedicated, a hard worker, and a team player.
This role will suit someone ready to get stuck in, learn from the ground up, and be willing to put in the hours and hard work, which will pay off, with no ceiling in the role.
Please apply here or give me (Maria) a call to discuss. My client is looking to find the right candidate as soon as possible - so if in doubt, do get in touch. I also have other clients and roles that may be of interest.
If you do not hear anything back within one week, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but I will retain your details for future roles.
When applying to any role through Cobalt, your CV will never be shared with a client without your prior consent. Apply in confidence below or get in touch with me for a confidential discussion about the position via msinclair@cobaltrecruitment.com.
