Job Title - Construction Manager
Project - £300m Highways Scheme
Location - Hull - (Subsidence package is available)

Cobalt is working with a Global Tier one contractor that have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Manager to join their Highways team and work on the A63 project in Hull.

Role Overview:
As a Construction Manager, you will lead and oversee the construction activities for the A63 Castle Street improvements scheme. Your responsibilities will include everything from project briefings and managing RAMS to supervising works on-site, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring safety, timelines, and budgets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the project team and manage the supply chain, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Maintain and uphold safety targets and standards across all construction activities.
Achieve sustainability goals by engaging with the customer and delivering on key sustainability objectives while championing sustainable solutions across the project.
Oversee subcontractors, monitoring attendance, progress, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
Collaborate with internal and external design teams to ensure project deadlines are achieved.
Understand and consider the commercial implications within the construction process, working closely with the Project Surveyor to make informed decisions.
Regularly update the Project Director on progress, financial risks, and potential project issues, ensuring all additional work is identified.
Assist with people management and project resourcing, ensuring the right people are in place to deliver successful outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: Proven background in highways construction management.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and customer relationship-building skills, along with excellent planning and organizational abilities.
Leadership: Experience managing teams and confidently leading, influencing, and motivating others to achieve targets.
Financial Awareness: A solid understanding of project financials with a commitment to improving safety and sustainability.
Qualifications: A valid and appropriate CSCS card.
Desirable Qualifications:
Professional certification such as APMP.
Relevant technical qualifications.
