Assistant Property Accountant
Up to £36,000
West End (hybrid) - Permanent
This prestigious Landlord is one of London's most established and respected property companies. The new Assistant Property Accountant will take over posting receipts and paying supplier invoices, and needs to be keen on taking more responsibility within the accounts department.
The purpose of this role is to provide support to some senior administrators and other individuals within the wider finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the management of a service charge portfolio for year end accounts
Processing, including the matching, batching and coding of invoices as well as uploading them onto the property management system - Qube
Ensuring all BACS and CHAPS payment runs are carried out in a timely manner
Performing reporting duties across a portfolio of mixed use properties as required
Dealing with and resolving queries from the client via phone and email
Assisting in the chasing of debts across all properties in the portfolio
Exposure to corporate accounting duties with on the job training provided
Ad Hocs, Bank Reconciliations and VAT reports
Personal Attributes:
Prior knowledge of the property sector highly advantageous
A keen interest in accounting and a long term goal to progress within the industry
A hard worker that is able to work independently to ensure tight deadlines are met
Ability to prioritise workload and ensure that senior members of the team are aided in their duties where required
