OVERVIEW
A leading PE backed accounting and corporate services firm are going through a strong period of growth and are looking to expand their Corporate Services team. Aiding on deal sizes ranging from £10m - £15m, across a range of industries, this role offers the opportunity to join at the team at the early stages of growth, therefore offering strong long term career prospects.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
The main roles of the Valuation Specialist will be to:
Analyse the financial health and performance of prospective companies to determine their intrinsic value
Build complex models to project future financial performance incorporating various scenarios and assumptions
Aid in the due diligence process by identifying key financial and operational metrics
Identify and evaluate potential risks and their impact on valuations
Summarise and present valuations reports to key internal and external stakeholders
Provide transaction support throughout the M&A process
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards
EXPERIENCE & CHARACTERISTICS
Qualified accountant from a top 40 firm (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
Business-related degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics Maths)
Additional industry specific qualifications are advantageous
Strong experience within valuations and M&A
Extensive excel and modelling experience
Ability to work autonomously
Outstanding client communication skills including the ability to explain valuations to non-finance stakeholders
