We are thrilled to be exclusively working with a market leading residential-led developer with offices across the UK, to help with growth in their Land and Development team. Based in Central London, this lean yet successful team acquire and get planning for living developments the main cities and commuter towns in the UK - across BTR, PBSA and Co-living. Once planning is gained, this business sometime build-out themselves or sometimes flip on.
You will be involved in (among other responsibilities):
Appraising potential development sites alongside land buying colleagues for planning viability.
Managing pre-apps and planning applications through the development process, supporting by external planning consultants.
Assisting the Planning Director and colleagues with identifying new sites when needed.
Acting as first point of call for any planning issues internally.
Negotiating S106 agreements.
Discharging of conditions and dealing with RMAs.
Attending meetings for Planning Committee, Consultations and similar events in representation of both the Company and clients through the planning process.
You will ideally:
Have a Town Planning or Property Development degree (ideally RTPI or RICS accredited).
Have at least two years in a consultancy, local authority or client-side role.
Excellent communication skills.
Be a driven and ambitious individual, who wants to make a career work within a developer, understanding the importance of budgets and time to a project.
You will be well placed working in a collaborative team to either start your career client side, or continue within a busy and ambitious firm, to progress - you will be learning a lot from one of the industry's top Planning Directors.
