Planning Director, South Wales

Cobalt are thrilled to be partnered with an agile and forward-thinking town planning consultancy, with an ambitious business plan to expand over the coming years, offering up an excellent bonus scheme for OTE and the opportunity to work with a successful team of Planners based all across the UK. With a highly successful and lean team, and offices all across the UK, they are keen grow with an Associate Director/Director, starting with a key hire in late 2023 or early 2024.

With a loyal client base, high profile clients and an array of projects across the whole of the UK, you will have the opportunity to work with clients varying from SMEs to PLCs across residential, commercial, retail and industrial schemes. Based in South Wales, you will be working alongside with the other Directors to support the growth of this region over the next couple years to come. This role would suit an ambitious Associate Director/Director who are looking for a change.

Your role will include:

• Fee generation to provide work for you and your future team.

• Business development through networking, bringing your own business and expanding your network and to new pastures, if appropriate.

• Servicing work for clients, whether that be through development management or strategic planning advisory work, and anything they might need assistance with.

• Managing, mentoring and supporting RTPI APC for future team.

You will ideally:

• Have a loyal client following.

• Have at least eight years in town planning within the UK, with much in consultancy.

• Have excellent communication and written skills.

• Be a strong team player.

​
