Role Overview

Cobalt is delighted to be partnering once again with a leading Hospitality Real Estate Business that is committed to providing exceptional experiences and services to its guests and clients. They leverage data and analytics to optimise their operations and make data-driven decisions in the competitive real estate and hospitality markets. After seeing a significant growth our client is seeking an experienced and talented Data Engineer with expertise in Azure Stack to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems using Microsoft Azure Stack technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.

  • Implement and manage data storage solutions, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.

  • Create and optimise ETL processes to efficiently ingest and transform data from various sources.

  • Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

  • Develop data models and schemes to support the company's data analytics and reporting needs.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data systems and pipelines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and Microsoft Azure.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on Azure Stack-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong background in Azure Stack technologies.

  • Expertise in Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure Stack services.

  • Proficiency in data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.

  • Knowledge of SQL and data manipulation techniques.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
