Cobalt is proud to be partnered with a historic estate agents and property management company who are seeking an Client Accountant/ Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team in south west London on a temporary basis. This role will be a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a short term contract or temp to perm opportunity.

The Client Accountant is responsible for accurately recording and reconciling receivables, maintaining financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting audit processes. Additionally, the Client Accountant prepares aging reports, addresses inquiries, and assists with month-end reconciliation activities. This position will be working across a residential portfolio consisting of almost 200 properties and require excellent attention to detail as well as previous experience in an Accounts Receivable role within a real estate company.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately record and reconcile receivables in a timely manner

  • Support statutory audits and ensure financial records are consistently updated

  • Maintain and keep financial records current

  • Prepare monthly aging analysis reports and account ledgers for Accounts Receivable

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards

  • Respond to Accounts Receivable inquiries promptly

  • Assist with month-end and reconciliation processes, ensuring all Accounts Receivable transactions are properly documented

Requirements

  • Experience as a Client Accountant or Accounts Receivable Clerk previously working for a real estate company.

  • Confident using a property management system such as Reapit

  • Ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to follow and implement processes to support the growth of the team

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
