Client Accountant
Permanent + Hybrid working (3 days in / 2 days WFH)

Cobalt is working with a highly valued global real estate advisory firm. With a wide European presence, this firm is dedicated to achieving outstanding outcomes and client needs. They are presently in search of a proficient Client Accountant to become part of their energetic team based in their Birmingham Office.
Day to day:
- Maintain high standards in Client and property accounting services, ensuring adherence to Client-specific procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Manage complete and updated financial records, including service charge management, reconciliations, and compliance with accounting regulations.
- Collaborate with surveyors and Clients to resolve queries and determine appropriate actions.
- Support team compliance by meeting KPIs
- Contribute to continuous improvement in financial management processes, aligning with relevant legislation for market-leading practices.
- Develop, implement, and refine procedures to meet service delivery standards for internal and external clients.
- Work with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure adherence to control requirements and compliance standards.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Clients and relevant parties regarding accounting service delivery.
- Oversee and produce client accounting records, including financial reporting, VAT/tax reporting, reconciliations, and query responses.
- Participate in audits of financial information, procedures, and controls while supporting team-based and individual financial targets.
Person specification:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experienced in property management/accounting software like Tramps, Qube, Yardi, Horizon.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience of working within an accounting team within in a property management company.
- Adaptable, resilient, presentable, driven and self-motivated.
