Building Surveyor - Client Side
Bedfordshire
We're working with one of the UK's most historic landed estates who hold a significant portfolio across Bedfordshire and London, including a leisure centre and historic buildings in Bedfordshire and close to one million square feet of office, educational and retail space in London. They are committed to preserving and enhancing their exceptional portfolio for present and future generations of residents, workers and visitors to enjoy. They have an exciting opportunity to join as a Building Surveyor in their Bedfordshire office, which will play a key role in ensuring the above.
Job Role:
Our client is looking for a confident and driven individual to join their close-knit operations team to provide professional building surveying services. This role will be responsible for the delivery of development and refurbishment projects, reactive maintenance & repair works and planned cyclical repair projects. You will evaluate existing buildings to identify defects and determine their condition across the portfolio which includes residential, commercial, retail and heritage properties.
Responsibilities:
Planned Preventative Repairs & Maintenance
Improvement Works
Repairs
ESG, CDM, Quality Assurance and Contract Compliance
Project manage various contracts. Prepare tender documentation and project manage contract works.
Provide building surveying services with the principal aim of maintaining and improving the performance and quality of the portfolio, while always protecting the heritage and architectural quality of the Estate
Requirements:
MRICS/ACIOB (preferred) or industry equivalent.
Proven experience working across Building Surveying and Project Management
A demonstrable knowledge of building standards, planning regulations, regulatory standards
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines or time frames without compromising the quality of work and maintaining a high level of attention to detail
