Associate / Associate Director, Town Planner - Central London

Are you looking for that new challenge or the opportunity to accelerate your career with an established team led by industry figure heads? I am working closely with a highly regarded SME planning consultancy in London, looking for someone to join at Associate or Associate Director level.

You could enjoy consulting major PLC London developers to boutiques across most sectors on a variety of major projects from urban extensions to sports stadia in London and across the UK. Uniquely, it is not essential to bring business to succeed in this role as my client is currently managing a very healthy pipeline of projects.

You will be given a real opportunity to thrive with the support of a highly respected and collaborative team, focused on pure planning.

You will be involved in (among other responsibilities):

• Leading on projects, assisting in delegating and starting to take on leadership role

• Continuing to maintain relationships with clients in providing accurate advice and communicating effectively

• Dealing with pre-apps and manage planning applications through the development process

• Communicating and negotiating with clients, stakeholders and local regularly

• Business development and working up your own client base, or bringing your own

• Attending meetings for Planning Committee, Consultations and similar events in representation of both the Company and clients through the planning process

• Mentoring and helping to manage junior team members

You will ideally:

• Have at least five years within planning - ideally in consultancy but LPA experience will be considered

• Strong development management skillset and expertise

• Be MRTPI or equivalent

• Be a strong communicator with excellent written work

• A track record of working within planning within London

​
