Assistant Service Charge Accountant
Permanent Position + Hybrid Working

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Assistant Service Charge Accountant within the heart of London's West End, working alongside one of Cobalt's longstanding clients. This role is with a specialised managing agent, where you will play a crucial role in handling property accounting duties for their esteemed clientele.
You will be allocated your own portfolio that is complete of commercial properties where you ill be handling all areas of service charge accounting.
Duties:
Closing year-end service charges, preparing and reconciling annual service charge cash, assisting with budgeting.
Leading client accounting for managed properties, supporting asset management strategies, and client objectives.
Reconciling and analysing monthly client and tenant deposit accounts, resolving outstanding issues.
Billing tenants/clients for service charges, rents, voids, recharges, credits, and insurance.
Handling on-boarding and off-boarding processes for new or outgoing instructions.
Maintaining property, lease, and occupiers, preparing statements, rent reviews, and interest calculations.
Preparing and submitting financial reports, owner statements, VAT reports, cash-flows.
Person Specification:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate across various levels, as you will be meeting with external stakeholders from time to time.
Passionate about developing in the field of Service Charge / Property Management.
Experience from a previous / similar role.
